Most drainage problems are grade problems. If your yard holds water, your crawlspace is damp, or half the lawn is a bog every spring, the ground is telling you where it's going.

My yard holds water. Is that a grading fix?

Usually. Sometimes it's a compaction or a soil problem instead. Mike will tell you which one you've got rather than sell you the one he does.

How much fall do I need away from the house?

The rule of thumb is six inches over the first ten feet. Most problem yards are flat or sloping back toward the foundation.
