Land clearing & leveling

Brush, scrub, stumps, fence rows — down to usable ground.

The work

What Mike does on a land clearing & leveling job

Acreage that hasn't been touched in ten years grows a lot of nothing. Mike clears it back to ground you can mow, build on, run cattle on, or see across.

  • Brush, scrub and undergrowth cleared
  • Trees taken down and grubbed out, roots and all
  • Old fence rows pulled
  • Stumps removed, not just ground flush
  • Ground leveled and left mowable

What moves the price

Nobody can price this off a phone call alone, and anybody who does is guessing high to cover themselves. Here's what Mike is actually looking at when he walks your job.

  • Acreage, and how thick it is
  • Brush versus mature hardwood
  • Whether stumps come out or get ground
  • What happens to the debris — hauling costs more than burning
  • Terrain and how wet it's been

Questions people ask

Answered honestly

Can I burn the pile?

Depends on your county and whether there's a burn ban on. Mike will tell you what's allowed right now, and hauling is always an option.

Will you leave the good trees?

Flag them or walk them with him. He'd rather spend twenty minutes agreeing up front than take out a tree you wanted.

How much per acre?

It swings hard on how thick it is. Light brush and mature timber on the same acre are different jobs. He'll give you a number after he's seen it.
